Healthy Lifestyles

Hi – I have a good friend who has been participating in one of these health programs that involve vitamins, shakes, and everything else.  She is a nurse and does swear by it because of how it is truly making her feel better and younger and stabilized.  My problem is that her program is very expensive so one needs to be fairly wealthy to handle it.  Not an option for me, even though I believe her and need some of that.  I also don’t trust myself to be able to drink everything.  Yikes.  I’m a wuss about drinking stuff!
So my nephew shows up at Thanksgiving – a young, well-built ex-football player and he has discovered Juice Plus.  Well, I am looking for something to help me stabilize my body – I think after time in this world, we get out of balance and that makes weight loss harder also.  I listened to him and he and his mom have been using juice plus and love how it makes them feel.  Sounds beneficial and it is MUCH cheaper.  It is not vitamins, it is a whole food product  All the vegetables and fruits that we should be eating daily and they are
in capsule form. I also believe it is possible for me to do this.

You can get all this easily.

I believe that the better life includes health, not just abundance.  Also positive relationships.  When we feel good, we are better at relationships, also.  Positive.

Setting Goals

Anybody out there have a little ADHD like I do?  Well, that can get in the way of success, can’t it?  I have to find things that actually work and then I have to integrate them into my life until they become a habit.  Otherwise, I just get an idea, try something, and don’t stick with it.  I understand many successes on the internet have some ADHD behaviors.  This job is probably more suitable to them than a job in an office.  So, I’m excited about the many ideas we get.  But we need to narrow things down and follow through.

Yes, You Can

I have
1. set goals
2. limited programs
3.  set timelines – picked dates to be earning income levels
4.  Left enough activities to prevent boredom.
5.  Named a minimum amount of time for each on-line activity each week.
6.  Refuse new programs – develop what I have.
7.  Made a list of steps for each program.
Here’s a program I love.

Current Political Garbage

Hi – I haven’t been on this blog much, but there’s never enough time.  Ever said that before?  I would love to write on all these blogs.  I am a therapist and work with families and write about that. I have grandkids, and of course, I still have a job.  And nowadays, I am very angry and frustrated about stupid politics and all the bizarre things going on against gays and lesbians, and against women.  I mean, really.  Does it make any sense.  Here I will show my politics, but I am so frustrated with the Citizens United, allowing money to buy elections.  Frustrated with the stupid governor of Wisconsin, Mitt Romney and his picking Paul Ryan.  These people have such archaic views and they are really not about helping people.  I find it hard to believe they are so selfish.   Billionaires with not enough power and money – they want more, at everyone else’s expense.  So sad.  And the law should be telling we women we have to get vaginal probes by doctors whether we want one or not?  Where do they get the audacity?  And why are women voting for the Republicans? Anyone tell me?
Can you tell where I’m coming from?  I am glad we have Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin – let’s home she wins.  Be sure you vote for Democratic house and senate members so we can get rid of Eric Cantor, John Boehner, and Paul Ryan, who were part of stopping everything Obama tried to pass.  Plus many tea party members of congress, making it a 5% approval rating.  Also, I’m one of those people who pays much more than Mitt Romney in taxes!

A Better 2012!

I’m really hoping for things to improve in the world. Mind you, my life really does get better and better, but I personally feel sad about what others are going through.  I live in an area that was hard hit by the economy and there is a high percentage of poverty and unemployment in my area.  I work with children, and their lives are affected by the poverty, unemployment, homelessness of their parents.  I am amazed at the number of divorces I see due to the unemployment and poverty.  Many of the fathers of the kids worked in construction and our construction industry i.e. housebuilding, has decreased to 0, so these fathers, without other skills, have no work, no benefits, etc.  I see the impact on their marriages and their children.  The poor kids come to school and are so sad about parents fighting all the time.
So, yes, I want to see the world improve.  I want people to earn a living wage, have health insurance and retirement again.  I want the 99% to be treated with dignity.  I want the teachers and nurses and firefighters and police officers to be respected for the hard work they do, instead of denigrated for “earning too much money” which none of them do.  They may earn above poverty, but everyone should have the ability to earn enough to pay bills and drive a decent car.  No one should have to pay $700. a month or more for health insurance.  I don’t understand how the CEO’s can have millions for a year, while their employees get wage freezes, wage cuts, vacation cuts, health insurance benefit cuts, retirement cuts. I don’t understand how that is okay.  I don’t understand how the executives of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were seeking bonuses this year, when they were involved in fradulent, unethical behavior that helped bring about the recession.
YES, I WANT a BETTER LIFE tor people in 2012 – jobs, money for food, cost of living increases, etc.
Because the rich continue improving their life.  Again, my own life has improved, but I know that it would be different if I received that layoff notice, so I am eternally grateful for my luck.  I also have many skills and education that would help me with other employment, unlike many.  But I paid for my education through those school loans!!!!
So, let’s all work together to help each other.  There are even the ethical millionaires out there calling for things to be different – letting the wealthy pay more in taxes.  I am working with the Empower Network to help others improve their financial status through the work of marketing.
